Who We Are
Our story may as well begin in late September of 2017 at the Lambrusco wine festival in Castelvetro di Modena. The festival is a great way to ingratiate yourself with local cuisine, while becoming familiar with 20 or so local wines. Yeah, it’s awesome and probably should be on everyone’s bucket list, but that’s another story. At the time Nick, Davide, and I (Andrew) were all working for an Italian company based in the region. And thanks to Davide’s subtle tutelage and gregarious nature Nick and I often found ourselves experiencing the region in a very real and natural way, in which I don’t think very few people will ever have the privilege to do so. While I firmly believe you should go out and experience this region for yourself, I know that sometimes you need a preview.
This is why we created Fratelli del Vino in 2023. We believe that we can bring some semblance of our experiences to you through the unique, and uncharted wines of the Emilia Romagna region. This region represents the balance of technical excellence and a passion for craftsmanship. This seemingly sharp contradiction of function and artistry has lead to its branding as both the “Motor Valley” and “The World’s Food Capital”. The wines of this region reflect over 12 millennia of cultivation and viticulture. While selecting wines to import we will focus on authenticity, distinction and most importantly quality. We want to import these sparkling icons to the restaurants and wine shops focused on these same ideals in Nashville Tennessee and beyond. Stay tuned for our journey.
